Sunday Brunch Recommendations...

by Derrick Dones » Fri Jan 11, 2013 11:07 am

All, I would appreciate some advice for a good sunday brunch spot. The wife and I along with our 15 month old son get together with some friends regularly for brunch. We've done the Bristol and Ramsi's buffet and heartily enjoyed each of them. We'd like to give somewhere else a try...any suggestions?

As noted, there will be 6 adults and 3 kids ranging in age from about 1 - 4. Buffet or menu is fine. Considered both silver dollar and Bank Street but not sure how kid-friendly they are, although my son has eaten dinner at Silver Dollar two times.

Highland Morning??? Is there enough space for 6 and 3 high chairs???

...figured Wild Eggs would be crazy-busy.

We are thinking about Sunday around 10:30 / 11:00. If at all possible, we like local / unique spots.

Thanks! DD

Selena's. Great Sunday brunch and very kid friendly--we go there all the time with our 3 young grandchildren. They LOVE the beignets!

Salena's is nice. I hear the Sliver Dollar has an awesome brunch.

That Place on Goss in the Antique Mall, 946 Goss Avenue. Good food, family friendly, best bargain in town - $10.95 for adults including drinks (non-alcoholic). Not sure about kid prices, since we no longer have little ones. They have buffet, omelets to order, great desserts. Selena's is great also. Verbena Cafe in Norton Commons is good, gets crowded. Highland Morning is also very crowded, Wild Eggs is good early, gets busy as the day progresses. We do brunch a lot of Sundays, always on the lookout for new places.

I hope I am not reporting misinformation but I think Guaca-mole is offering Sunday brunch or it may be in the works. Can anyone confirm or deny?

There is indeed brunch at Guacamole. We unfortunately have not been though- one child wakes up at 7:30 am; the other at noon...

Given Deb's confirmation, I would recommend Guacamole! Kid-friendly and the food is insanely delicious.

Cheddar Box Too in Chenoweth Square is open for brunch on Sunday. We open at 8 and close at 3.

Rivue in the Galt House has a Sunday brunch buffet. Very good. $21. Service and food was excellent a couple of weeks ago when we went.
