Chef Maria's Greek Deli

Apparently the deli opened this week at 102 Fairfax Ave. in St. Matthews, for takeout only. I believe that's in the same block as Saigon Cafe and El Tarasco.

According to their musical website (I wish people wouldn't do that), formerly of It's All Greek To Me on Frankfort Avenue.

And she has a food truck.

I sincerely hope this is a success for Maria. She, honest to goodness, has got to be one of the hardest working women in the biz. ( and there are a bunch of them out there!)
Opa for sure!

This would be her sixth venture, I believe, and the second-to-last (before the food truck) ended rather badly. I wish Maria well as a person, and I'd be happy to see this succeed. But I guess only time will tell.

Hopefully this will work out! I honestly was not impressed with the booth at the Farmer's Market. The meat in the gyro was very dry. I wasn't the only one who thought so because others were talking about it too.

She does work her butt off. I wish her the best with this new venture.

Not for nothing, but I really enjoyed her egg lemon soup.
