Former Ray's Monkey House/Twice Told books building?

by Adam C » Mon Dec 10, 2012 7:01 pm

Anyone know what is going on at this spot? I say spot because they bulldozed the building... At one point I heard a "burger joint" but nothing specific. Any clues? Cheers!

I don't know where that is, but I read a few weeks ago that Fernando Martinez of Guaca-Mole was working on a burger-and-mussels joint. Could that be it?

Heard some buzz about it from friends at Why Louisville.

I can't remember what they said was going in... I'll try to find out...

He said it was going into an existing restaurant location so it would't take long to open.

I wonder if this is what Robin's old buddy Phil had in mind when he wanted to reinvent Bardstown Rd a couple of years back.

Hmm.. Big Burger. Weird that they allowed a building on Bardstown Rd to get leveled.

That was just a run-down addition to what was originally a house set back from the street -- as are many of the other storefronts along Bardstown.

If you look, you'll see that the original house is being kept intact. Tearing that down would probably get someone in some serious hot water.
