Gift Ideas for the Grillmiester (or Gal)

by Steve P » Mon Dec 10, 2012 3:27 pm

What with ol' Sanny Claws comin' to town here in a few weeks, I thought to post a few gift ideas for the grillmiester in your house. These are all products used and endorsed by the Daddio of the Patio.

Charcoal Companion puts out some -very- nice products...These folding grill tools are a full two notches above most of those flimsy grilling utensil "kits" you see on every store shelf. Also available though Bass Pro Shops (and I think Cuisinart puts their label on them as well). VERY heavy duty.

This is -hands down- the best (affordable) instant-read thermometer made...All the cool kids on the competition BBQ circuit swear by 'em. I own several instant read thermometers and this one blows away all the other brands.

OK...ya want some BBQ "secrets"....here's a couple of "stocking stuffers" that I -highly- recommend.

ALL of the "Plow Boys" products are first rate...and competition tested. LOTS of folks I know have given up their "custom" rubs over the past couple of years in favor of this brand of rubs. Available at Bass Pro Shops for about 2/3 of the online price...just sayin'.

The "secret" has been out for a while now about Blues Hog Sauces...but in case you missed it, these are some -rockin- good sauces. Not sure if they are available anywhere locally, so you may have to order online.

Raichlen has quite a few good products out there...and a few "stinkers" as well...These skewers are one of the better ideas...they're -flat- soes yer meat and veggies don't spin around. Love mine.

I see somebody else relies on Amazon for online purchases. Their prices are reasonable and their service is unbeatable.

There are also a few "local" establishments worthy of your shopping dollar when it comes to these types of purchases...

Cooking at the Cottage has a very nice selection of grilling/outdoor cooking products.

Over on other side of the river, Charcoal and More (Sellersburg) has a fine line up of outdoor cooking products.

Brownsboro Hardware is an -awesome- place for Weber and Big Green Egg products...They carry a FULL line of products.

Bass Pro, while not a "local" company, is just across the river and has an extensive selection of outdoor cooking products...one of the best actually.

Like so many people though, I am kinda-sorta-a-little-bit prone to let my keyboard do the talking this time of year...as (if nothing else) it saves me a -bunch- of time.
