New Year's Eve and New Year's Day

by SallyH » Fri Dec 07, 2012 8:59 am

Since New Year's Eve falls on Monday this year I know that some restaurants typically closed on Mondays have had to make a decision. How about a list of options including any special formats for the evening?

New Year’s Eve at Decca

by Robin Garr » Tue Dec 11, 2012 8:33 am

New Year’s Eve at Decca

Prix Fixe Menu, Wine Pairings, and Jazz by The Buzzard with Gail Wynters.

Decca Restaurant and Lounge on East Market Street has announced plans for New Year’s Eve, which falls on Monday this year. The restaurant will serve a three-course prix fixe dinner by Chef Annie Pettry. The menu, inspired by traditional New Year’s Eve foods, will offer a number of choices, and will be able to be modified to accommodate vegetarians, vegans and others with dietary restrictions. Supplements to the menu and wine pairings will also be available.

The cellar Lounge will ring in the New Year that night with jazz by The Buzzard, who play at Decca every Monday night. For the holiday, they will be adding the talents of twice-Grammy nominated singer Gail Wynters to their repertoire. The concert will be from 9 PM to 1 AM, is free and open to the public and includes a midnight toast.

Decca will also offer a pair of events in the Lounge the weekend before New Year’s Eve for those who want to start the celebration early. Troubadours of Divine Bliss will bring their unique brand of jazzy folk to Decca from 8 to 11 PM on Friday, December 28th and Mickey Clark will play cowboy country from 9 PM to Midnight on Saturday, December 29th.
