PR: CHANGE OF DATE for J'town Boombozz pizza deal

by Robin Garr » Wed Nov 14, 2007 7:42 pm

IMPORTANT: Note change of date!

<b>Louisville's First Boombozz Pizza Bistro Opening Dec. 6 in Jeffersontown;
First 100 People in Line will Receive Free Pizza for a Year</b>

<table border="0" align="right" width="310"><tr><td><img src="http://www.louisvillehotbytes.com/boombozz_newlogo.jpg" border="1" align="right"></td></tr></table>Boombozz Famous Gourmet Pizza, will open the doors of its first full service location on Thursday, Dec. 6 (NEW DATE!), giving away more than $88,000 in free pizza to the first 100 adults in line that morning.

A one-year supply of free pizza (52 coupons, enough for one pizza weekly for a year) will be awarded to each of the first 100 adults, age 18 and older with identification, at the new restaurant at Tyler Center, 12613 Taylorsville Road.

The line can begin forming up to 24 hours prior to the opening, with the prizes being given away on Dec. 6 between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

The new store features Boombozz's new Bistro concept, which includes an innovative store design, new brand logo (pictured), full service bar and expanded menu. The Taylorsville Road store is Louisville's first glimpse at the new store design and menu.

This differs from the Tony Boombozz Pizza & Vino concept near Springhurst, said Tony Palombino, Founder/CEO of the locally-owned and operated company. "The Springhurst location was developed as a fast casual restaurant, which is similar to a fast-food restaurant in that it you order and pay at a counter, a number and a cup is handed to you. You pour your own beverage and then the food is brought to you. Also the fast casual restaurant promises a somewhat higher quality of food and atmosphere versus a 'fast-food' location.

"The 'Bistro' location offers full table service, meaning customers are seated by a hostess, their orders are taken by a waiter, who brings food and drink to the table, and the customers pay the bill before leaving. Also the Bistro location will have an expanded menu and a full-service sit down bar, offering mixed drinks, beers on tap and a expanded selection of wines."

Customers visiting the new location will enjoy innovative menu options in addition to the restaurant's signature menu items. The expanded menu includes an appetizer menu featuring Bruschetta, a blend of roma tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil, red onions and Asiago cheese served with toasted Romano flatbread, along with oven baked ziti and other delicious pasta creations. Rounding out the menu, a full bar will feature fun microbrews & wines by the glass. The concept store is the first in Kentucky.

"At Boombozz, we're continually evolving our menu and store locations to meet the ever-changing needs and tastes of our customers," Palombino said. "We're thrilled to bring the new menu items and unique store design to the Louisville community."

Hmm its seems ok but I don't think it's worth it for those who make a decent amount of money. Think about it, I have to take 24 hours of my time, with no bed, to sit in a line for about 600 to 700 dollars worth of pizza. On top of that, I only eat about 12 to 15 boombozz pizzas a year as it is. So if I dont work and sit in this line, I actually lose money and I don't get to sleep in a warm bed. :P
Im not a food"ie", I am a food"er".
