Dine around to benefit Apron, Inc. Tuesday December 4

by Luca B » Wed Oct 31, 2012 1:03 pm

Dine out for Apron, Inc.
On Tuesday December 4th several local restaurants will be donating a percentage of their proceeds of the day to help Apron, Inc.

The mission of Apron, Inc is to provide temporary, limited financial relief to professional food and beverage industry workers in the Louisville metro area who work at locally owned establishments and who are experiencing financial distress due to illness, injury or other issues.
We had a very successfully "Speakeasy Sunday" in June and have been able to start giving relief to applicants. In order for us to continue we need your help!

We will update this post as we receive confirmation from participating restaurants. If you are a restaurant and would like to be involved in our dine around please PM me, email me lbianconcini@gmail.com or post on this thread.

For more information on how you can help check out our Facebook page or visit http://www.aproninc.org.
Thank you!

Luca,
Great list!
Question: do you have to specifically tell the restaurant you are dining for Apron, or do profits go automatically?
Thanks!

Deb-
The restaurants have been very supportive and generous. No need to tell them, though it would be great if you mentioned it, I'm hoping APRON fills all the seats that evening.

Does this apply to lunch or is it dinner only? Thanks to all our local restaurants for supporting this worthy cause.

Thanks for asking
As far as I know the agreement is for the whole day with the exception of Doc Crow's which is only dinner.

We are happy to announce that The Village Anchor will hold a Dine Out for Apron night on Sunday December 9th.
What a wonderful way to spend a winter Sunday, and help a great cause.

Yeah! Now I can stop feeling guilty for having signed up the class long before I saw/heard any announcements about the "Dine around to benefit Apron, Inc."

Gary-

That's great news! They have an extensive mailing list, so it'll get alot of publicity along with a donation.

Do you know if it's running like their regular Monday charity events? For those, you have to specify that you are dining for that cause for the donation to be made. It would be good to know if that applies or not.

I will try and find out. I encourage everyone who participates this week to mention APRON so that the restaurants know we are working to fill their seats, and how much their donations mean to us.

So as I recall the weather was yucky on Dec 4. Any idea when there may be a re-run?
