Decca Announces Halloween Party, Other Events
November Subterranean Phrases to Feature Lexington Poet
Despite patio season coming to an end, Decca
Restaurant and Lounge on East Market Street will continue to host a wide array of events,
beginning on Tuesday, October 30th
with two showings of Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece
“The Shining” at 7 and 9:30PM on the big screen in the cellar Lounge.
October comes to a close on Wednesday 31st
with the first annual BooLu. The NuLu
Halloween party will begin at 9 PM, and will feature DJ Sam Sneed and a costume party with
a $100 Decca gift card as a grand prize. The party is open to the public; admission is two
cans of food for Kentucky Harvest.
The first Friday of November falls on the 2nd, which brings the First Friday Trolley Hop to
downtown Louisville. Decca will mark the event with a concert by local jazz funk ensemble
Fatt Labb. The concert is free, and will begin at 8 PM.
On the second Wednesday of each month, Decca hosts Subterranean Phrases, a poetry
and music event curated by local composer Rachel Short. November’s edition will begin at 9
PM on the 14th, and feature Lexington poet Joe Brasher. Open mic slots will be available both
before and after the main performance.
