Dish on Market

by Steve H » Fri Oct 19, 2012 11:09 pm

So, the Sweetie and I were downtown with the Urban League folks for a presentation at the local Federal Reserve office, and decided we were hungry afterwards.

We took the short trek over to Dish on Market. Ignoring the old grease diner smell, she selected a fine berry and nut salad with added grilled shrimp. I chose a chimera known as the Hot Brown Burger.

No complaints were heard about the salad, but a distinguished grub citation was awarded to the Hot Brown Burger. Large burger, roasted turkey, bacon, tomatoes, and mornay sauce..culinary awesomeness!

Go thee hence and partaketh!

Hehe. Cute. And good use of the word 'chimera.' A personal favorite of mine...

Is my face red! I must admit that yesterday when I first read this post, I went "Ugh, Yuck!" That was because I had just finished reading the latest posting in the "Inedible Objects in Food Stories. So when I came across the word "grub" I immediately pictured thick wormlike larva. Ugh! Yuck! So upon reading Stephen's posting I had to go back and reread Steve's original post. Much better the second time around.

And this is another reason why I could never be a food critic!
