The Exchange pub + kitchen launches on Kickstarter.
The Exchange pub + kitchen is proud to announce that their Kickstarter project submitted last month has received approval. Kickstarter is a funding platform for creative projects. Everything from films, games, and music to art, design, and technology. Kickstarter is full of ambitious, innovative, and imaginative projects that are brought to life through the direct support of others. Every project creator sets their project's funding goal and deadline. If people like the project, they can pledge money to make it happen. If the project succeeds in reaching its funding goal, all backers' credit cards are charged when time expires. If the project falls short, no one is charged. Funding on Kickstarter is all or nothing.
With the help of Cool World Video Productions, a local company based in Jeffersonville, IN., the Exchange pub + kitchen submitted their project to Kickstarter last and were granted approval. The goal of this project is to raise community awareness about the new restaurant opening and offer its guests an opportunity to be part of project by making a monetary donation. The Exchange pub + kitchen will be opening this November in historic Downtown New Albany. The building is being completely renovated to showcase the historic feel of the 137 year old space. In keeping with history of the building, the focus will be on using reclaimed and salvaged materials throughout. “We are keeping the building as original as possible to maintain the the history that surrounds Shrader's Stable. It is such an amazing space with so much history to the city of New Albany and I can't wait for our guests to have the opportunity to experience it”, Hall said. The Exchange pub + kitchen will offer seating for 150 patrons on its main level, as well as an additional second floor mezzanine that will be available for private functions for groups up 40. Guests will be drawn to the soaring 20 foot ceilings complete with exposed bridge trusses, original arched windows throughout, and original exposed brick walls.
Guests will continue to receive the same outstanding customer service and high quality food and beverage in a comfortable and casual setting that they have become accustomed to receiving at the Exchange's current location. Executive Chef Rick Adams and his team will continue to offer their American Seasonal menu that will rotate throughout the year, with an emphasis on sourcing local products and purveyors. Savory local inspired menu items include 3D Valley Farms Angus Burgers, Bourbon Beer Cheese with Klaus' Pretzel Baguette, Duncan Farms Braised Rabbit with celery root puree and a rosemary stock reduction, Pan Seared U10 scallops with Capriole Farms Goat Cheese Risotto, Shrimp and Grits with a smoked tomato chutney, and a classic Steak Frites are just a few of the seasonal menu selections.
