Oh, puerco! is a new food trailer coming to southern Indiana. As you can tell by the name, it is going to have a very pork heavy menu consisting of your typical taco truck style items. Tacos, burritos, nachos, etc. What sets Oh, puerco! apart from the traditional taco trucks (besides the giant orange exterior) is the approach to flavor profiles and ingredients. The concept is not designed to be strictly Mexican cuisine, but will have some southern comfort foods in the mix and could weigh heavy from one style to the other depending on the ingredients on hand and what is in season. Starting out so late in the season, the menu will remain pretty constant with only minor adjustments, but hopefully by next spring we will have a chance to source more local ingredients and experiment with an evolving menu.

If you're in the area and would like to check it out, we'll be setting up Tuesday (Oct. 2nd) for our debut on the corner of Spring St. and 14th in Jeffersonville. Almost right behind Clark Memorial. There is plenty of parking in surrounding lots with an extremely short walk. We'll be there between 11am-4pm for just the one day, if there are no complaints with the landowner it could be a more regular thing, but for now we'll be jumping around to several locations which will be posted at facebook.com/ohpuerco. Come out and show some love!
