Help Dana do Zagat for Louisville!

by Robin Garr » Thu Sep 27, 2012 2:50 pm

We're invited to jump in and help Dana McMahan's research for Zagat's Louisville Edition. Here's her plea, and below is the link. Jump right in! There may even be swag. :)

Dana Bowling McMahan shared a link.

For the Zagat guide I'm working on, *my* opinion doesn't count -- YOURS does. All my food-loving friends, do go share your opinion on Louisville restaurants and note - the "most clever and pithy comments will be published" :)

Robin,

Maybe you can put this post with the one I did a couple days ago.

Okay, now that this is on-line, there's no excuse not to do it, folks! Take a little time, and make our good opinions be heard ( and get some swag in the process)! I'd love to see a Louisville Zagat version that actually reflects the advice/ opinions of this group, and really shows how great and varied our dining scene is. :D

Began taking the survey and couldn't find Burning Bush Grille Mediterranean Cafe listed and thought perhaps Zagats' list was derived from this forums' list which also does not include us in either their List of Restaurants or Restaurant Websites. Curious as to how a restaurant that has been around for 2-1/2 years could have been omitted from both sites when every other place that has ever printed a menu or boiled water seems to have been included. Just wondering.

Michael, I can't speak for Zagat, but I understand that they've reached out to Dana McMahan, an excellent local free-lancer who writes the weekly food-news column for the CJ and will be coming on soon as WFPL's food reviewer, to lead their content.

As for HotBytes, though, you made me go back and look, but Burning Bush is indeed listed in our alphabetical directory - including on the front page - with links to my most recent review: http://www.louisvillehotbytes.com/this- ... uch-to-say

Must be a glitch somewhere because when I click on the buttons at the top of this page I can not find us on either list. I've sent a email to Zagat. Thxs

The listing and the link for Burning Bush DOES show up off the main Hotbytes page - but NOT when you hit the links at the top of the forum's pages. Sounds like a glitch.

So I spent nearly three hours entering reviews on line. Then I one swell swoop, accidently sent it all bye-bye. Don't think I'll take the time to re-enter.

Okay, I see it. The link at the top of the forum is going to a different link, and it's one that doesn't get automatically updated. That should be fixed. It should go to
http://www.louisvillehotbytes.com/reviews-archive
which is the one linked from all HotBytes review and archives pages, and is automatically updated whenever we add or remove a review from the database.
