Our Best Resturant

Not sure if anyone has been to the Our Best in Smithfield, but they have opened a new location off Preston Highway near the Walmart and Kohl's. They opened last week and we went over the weekend. It was great and we plan to go back many times. We had a 2 piece fried chicken dinner and a roast beef sandwhich each with 2 sides. Our bill was about $20. We go to the one in Smithfield alot and you are right...the food is great..

My understanding is that the new locations are franchised. The original is excellent and I hope the new ones are of the same quality of country cooking.

Wow! I had no idea until now that they have opened up another location. I grew up just a few miles from Our Best and take my children there on the weekends quite frequently. The Original was just a small little house that held I think about 9 tables until it moved into the old Smithfield Mill. I am still in awe when I walk into the place and see the thousands of business cards just tacked to the walls, pure country and pure fun! Great little drive to the country.

My brother lives across the street from the one in Smithfield so I have eaten there quite often. I must say they do have tasty hoecakes.
I understood that it is a relative opening the new store, and that there will be one in IN in the future. This info is based solely on small town gossip.
