Bone Marrow? Varanese has it.

by Doug A » Sat Sep 15, 2012 9:33 pm

Just got back from Varanese after the U of L game.

New appetizer of bone marrow included 2 large bones with a slight char, course salt, and a baguette slice along with an herb salad. Last time I had a bone marrow dish was on a business trip to Atlanta and it was delicious. This was better. Highly recommended.

Also had a new entree this evening. Lamb ribs with a whole grain mustard and honey glaze on top of truffle fries. The bone marrow starter and this dish along with a bottle of hearty Trivento Reserve Malbec finished off a great day of football perfectly.

Not to take anything away form Varanese- but Equus/Jack's Lounge now has bone marrow as a special. Yum

And, La Coop's onion soup is topped by a big marrow bone cut in half for easy access!
