Zoës Kitchen opens third Louisville property

by Robin Garr » Thu Sep 13, 2012 12:58 pm

Zoës Kitchen, a Mediterranean-inspired, fast-casual restaurant chain, is opening its third Louisville property in the Vogue Center, at 3723 Lexington Road, with Trey Hornsby as franchise owner. It will be the 17-year-old Birmingham-based company’s 68th location over 12 states.

To celebrate its opening in Louisville, Zoës is giving away 500 meals to its Facebook fans, with one grand prize of Zoës for a year. Visit Zoës Kitchen’s Facebook page, http://www.Facebook.com/ZoesKitchen before Sept. 30 to enter. The grand prize winner will be announced on Zoës Facebook page on Monday, Oct. 1.

Zoës bills its fare as “Mediterranean-inspired comfort food with made-from-scratch recipes using fresh ingredients,” with signature dishes such as chicken kabobs, chicken rollups and hummus and gluten-free options. “Unlike most restaurant kitchens, there are no fryers or microwaves at Zoës,” according to the company news release, placing an emphasis on fresh preparation. This location will also have beer and wine.

Zoës’ new Louisville location seats approximately 90 guests in the dining room, and will also include an outdoor patio which seats 40. The restaurant opens from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

I have lunch at the downtown location on occasion. I've found their offerings to be fresh and unique - I especially love their marinated slaw. It's pretty simple - marinated cabbage, feta and scallions - but it's crunchy and delicious. Their commitment to friendly and fast service is apparent, as well. I'll bet the St. Matthews location will do great.

Grand Opening is Sept. 25

by Robin Garr » Fri Sep 14, 2012 3:46 pm

Added info: Grand opening on Sept. 25. Also, I didn't pick up on it immediately, but this is in the old Stan's Fish Sandwich location, which I've noticed that management is converting to match the style of the rest of the Vogue Center.
