Schlafly Beer Dinner @ Harvest for LCBW (Updated w/Menu!!!)

Hey, everyone. I wanted to let you all know about a very cool dinner that is happening during Louisville Craft Beer Week.

Harvest Restaurant & Schlafly Beer are teaming up for this amazing evening of food and beer that will feature guests of honor Tom Schlafly and Dan Kopman, co-founders of Schlafly Beer. The menu will be posted soon. But, for now, here are the details:

Schlafly Beer Dinner @ Harvest Restaurant
Tuesday September 25th
6:30 pm
$60/person (not including tax & gratuity)

succotash soup
summer corn bisque, roasted tomato coulis, pickled green bean relish, jalapeno powder, tomato chips
~ schlafly biere de garde ~

~ two ~
maple-grand cru poached pears
crispy guanciale, spicy greens, house made manchego, pear-ginger gastrique
~ schlafly grand cru ~

~ three ~
~ choice of ~
triple braised crispy pork belly
belgian style stoemp cake, mustard glaze, pickled peach salsa

~ or ~
roasted & stuffed tomato
butternut-masa cake, grilled corn & spaghetti squash salad
~ schlafly tripel ~

~ four ~
barley wine-fig compote
pecan shortcake, barleywine caramel, whipped honey creme fraiche
~ schlafly reserve oak aged barleywine ~

I'm truly hoping to make it. I had a blast at the BBC event, and it was really neat the way chef Coby came out and answered as many q's about food as there were about beer! Was quite the value for the $$ too. Are you going to speak as well Scott? You are quite the enigmatic feller.

Thanks, Nora. I will probably get up at the beginning of the dinner to introduce Tom & Dan, but they are the true "stars" on the beer side. So, I will just defer to them, unless people start pounding on the tables and chanting my name. So...probably not.

I'm starting hear table pounding and name chanting........ It's much better for you to speak than for me, I talk enough as it is!
