Brassfield Estate wine dinner Sept. 18 at Varanese

Varanese, 2106 Frankfort Ave., will host a Brassfield Estate wine dinner on Tuesday,
Sept. 18, at 6:30 p.m. Catherine Timmins, Midwest Region sales manager for Brassfield Estate Winery, will speak.

Dinner is $65 per person, not including tax or tip. Vegetarian and/or food-only options are available. For reservations call 899-9904.

Lump crab timbale with avocado puree, yuzu vinaigrette, papaya pearls and micro cilantro
Wine: Pinot Grigio

Tangerine and macadamia nut free-range chicken salad with champagne grapes and vanilla bean dressing, grilled Asian pear and bibb lettuce cup
Wine: Sauvignon Blanc

Duck-fat forest mushroom panzanilla, truffled arugula, oven-roasted marbles potatoes and V-12

Crispy braised pork shank with dried cherry-chipotle glaze and warm cabbage slaw
