Bacon Jam?

I've had the Benton's Bacon Jam at the Anchorage Cafe on a Turkey sandwich and it's wonderful! I've found lots of recipes on how to make it but it sounds like a pain and has a relatively short shelf life. The only place I've found that sells it is Sur-la-Table. Does anyone know any place local where we can find it?

Anchorage Cafe puts it on their pimento cheese sandwich, which was okay, but I felt kind of offended about them tinkering with tradition.

I saw that but like you thought about tradition. It was great on the Turkey sandwich however!

If you really like great pimento cheese you need to try Palmetto pimento cheese It's handmade in South Carolina. The only place locally I know that carries it is Wal-Mart at the present time. It's certainly worth a trip they are to get some. They have three flavors, traditional, jalapeno and bacon.
