Interesting, and thanks. I think of myself as fairly knowledgeable about French cuisine, but for whatever reason, "the Auvergne, Limousin and Périgord regions" haven't been among my regular routes in France, which seems unfortunate when you consider the truffles.

I believe it's really more similar to a fruit pancake (sort of closer to the apple pancake at the Original Pancake Company) than a pizza . . .

Agreed. I said that because the original post picture had a puffy edge that reminded me a bit of a Coals crust. As you were, keep it moving, nothing to see here. :mrgreen:

All I know is that I must have one, even if I have to make it myself. And I'm really not inclined to baking.

It doesn't look that difficult. No doubt, I could still mess it up. :roll:

I spent two summers in the Limousin region and never came across this. It lools wonderful. I did eat a lot of claflouti though,which it sounds like as Leah the dessert goddess mentioned.
