A question from and for those uninformed: what constitutes repurposable home cooking oil? Strained oils from a large deep-fry pot? A collection of reserved oils from unusable marinades, sautéed meals, etc? I don't live on a property that supports a garden, therefore I can't compost and grow my own produce, and I don't deep fry more than once a year, but can I collect my unused oil for recycling? I sometimes throw away oil that has lived in my cupboards for too long, so what's the minimum for donation? I'm sure I could check the FAQS on the link posted, so thanks in advance for any response received.

Recycle 101 ... @ 1501 Portland Avenue, Louisville KY 40203:

At home or at a restaurant ...

Eaten a salad ... Attended a fish fry ... Fried a turkey, bacon, hamburgers, french fries or _ _ _ _ _ (fill in the blank)?

What do you do with the Waste Cooking Oil (“WVO”)?

Easy as 1-2-3 ... now that Louisville now recycles WVO into Biodiesel for School Buses and Small Kentucky Farmers!

Contact Christian:
Telephone: (502) 727-5673
Email: christian@louisvillebiodieselcoop.org
We have multiple 275-gallon recycling bins set up to collect waste cooking oil.

See online how easy the process is:
... at home: http://www.louisvillebiodieselcoop.org/recycle-home/
... if you're a restaurant owner: http://www.louisvillebiodieselcoop.org/ ... -portland/

It’s EASY. It’s FREE. It’s the RIGHT thing to do.
