Something beerish coming in at Hickory & Burnett...

by Jake Wildstrom » Wed Jul 11, 2012 12:35 pm

The late, lamented Zeppelin Cafe site was auctioned last week, and some rumors are swirling around about the buyer (I wasn't actually there, but a few other folks were) Initial rumors suggested a new BBC location (which was cheering but not cause for real excitement), but the explicit reports — confirmed by the new owners — are that it'll be the Louisville site for Danville-based Beer Engine!

Wow! Beer engine is neato - we visited on the day of my 10-year Centre reunion last fall. Thanks so much for delivering the news.

Exciting news! I heard it was bought for a song, too. It's a huge facility, should be perfect for a brewing operation.

Not a beer drinker, but that will be good to have there (just a few blocks from the house).

I love the Beer Engine! Brian is a great guy and they'll be a great addition to Louisville's growing brewery scene. The first time I set foot in Zeppelin's kitchen, I thought it was PERFECT for a small scale brewery. Glad to see someone as great as BE taking advantage of it.

Agreed all around. I met the BE crew earlier this year, and wish them luck.
