White Castle is tearing down a restaurant in Jeffersontown to make room for a new brand operated under the company’s umbrella.
The White Castle restaurant at 2350 Greene Way, off South Hurstbourne Parkway, will be replaced with a restaurant that will include a new, fast-casual restaurant brand known as Deckers,
The Jeffersontown location will be the second Deckers restaurant to be opened in the United States by the Columbus Ohio,-based White Castle system.
Deckers sells panini grilled sandwiches, soups and salads.
The first restaurant opened in 2010 in Lebanon, Tenn.
Deckers will be housed under the same roof as a new White Castle restaurant, according to a news release. Dining areas for both brands will have a new look that is modern and comfortable.
White Castle’s last day of serving customers in its old building is scheduled to be Saturday, June 23.
Construction of the new Deckers and White Castle restaurant will begin almost immediately and is expected to be completed by mid-November.
