Congrats to the Anchorage Cafe!

by Deb Hall » Fri Jun 15, 2012 11:23 am

Congrats to Andy and Jenn on the fabulous small plates review from C-J! The review was spot on- we enjoyed the same dishes on the 7th and had the same reactions to both the toast with radish butter and the pretzel bun sliders. Well, except we weren't " startled" by the goodness- I've known all along how great the small plates menu is at Anchorage Cafe.

So glad to see you get some of the credit you deserve. :D

Ironic to see this post as I just read the article on them in this quarter's Food and Dining Magazine 20 minutes ago! Now I really want to check them out!

Kim,

Definitely go check out the small plates menu: Thursday- Saturday evenings only. It's one of our favorite places in town.

We will, thanks! Can't this weekend, but looking at the current menu, I think I'd have one of everything! :)

Wow. I have been remiss...

You can look at the menu and the reactions of both Deb and Marty and tell these people are having fun- that they truly love what they do.

Well, put a fire under my tuckus- I'm going sooner rather than later!

Andy,

So glad to see that particular Burger slider is still on the small plates this week. :D Your sliders are always great ( one of the best burgers in town), but when we had that one with the pimento cheese last week, we were all swooning. Our teen ( with great taste but little money) said: "Those are the best burgers ever!- this would be worth the money for me & my friends to come over and share" ( high praise from someone who splits a $3.00 slice . :D )

Stephen,

Get your tuckus down there ( and bring the baby if you want to :D- they are very laid back. I've taken my Aiden repeatedly). I find it to be very reasonable too. Brian & I typically split 3-4 small dishes, which means the food bill is less than $40, and their wine prices are reasonable.

Love ya-
