Chillers Microcreamery- Yum!

by MarieP » Wed Jun 13, 2012 9:17 pm

They are now open for business! I am enjoying a large cup of blackberry yogurt ($3.69). It tastes like fresh blackberries! It is soft-serve, but I think they use juice in it because it is delicious and there are seeds. This looks like it will be a worthy replacement for the loss of Starlight Frozen Custard! For those who don't know where it is, it's in front of the Old Sears Building and in the old Heine Brothers location.

A friend I was driving around the other day saw the sign and asked me what it was. All I could come up with was a dairy for very small cows. Good to know I was wrong.

Chillers is a spin off from the family that owns Zesto's in New Albany and Clarksville. They do not have the rights to franchise the Zesto name, so they created Chillers. The family owns and operates the initial Chillers in Sellersburg, but the rest are franchises (I believe the rest are). Same recipes, same ingredients.
