Donut Kastle

Does anyone know what's going on with the Donut Kastle in Lyndon? I've been past there several mornings this week and it's closed up tight. This morning, about 7:45 was the most recent.

I live practically next door and it has always seemed closed no matter what time of day I seem to pass it, for the last four years. I think it says to text for doughnuts on its sign.....

They open by 6:00am and close when they run out of donuts, which is almost always before 9:00am on weekdays and usually before 8:00 on weekends. Sometimes they stay open later if the regulars are hanging around, but that's rare and you're unlikely to get much anyway. Just coffee and scraps.

The owners also close up shop when they take vacations. There is usually a small sign posted on the door, though not always.

Having said that, I haven't been by there during a time I would expect them to be open for a month or so. Hopefully nothing untoward has occurred. They make a mean donut.

Drove by and peeked into the window (I wanted a donut!) and it looked like the twilight zone ghost town. Has anyone had a donut from there in the last six months/year? It said text them for donuts.. does that mean they only open if they get a text? Just trying to figure out what is going on there. Cheers!

We heard from another business owner in Lyndon that the owner's son closed up for the day and then no one ever came back. They haven't been open for almost a year.

I was just telling my co-worker that it looked like they were in the middle of working, abruptly left and dropped what they were doing and never came back. Very strange.

Very sad- we loved that place ( the few times we were up early enough to go  )

That place has been super sketchy for a LONG while now. The donuts where grease sponges the last couple times I was there and the guys working the counter did not look well at all.

This is beginning to sound like a GREAT opening chapter in a crime noir novella.
