Just another shoot-out to Bruce, Anne, and all the folks at Mayan Cafe. We went last night to what will probably be our last visit to the restaurant in many months (baby on the way!), and we had one of the best meals you can get anywhere. The farm-to-table specials were creamy kale soup, chilled beef salpicon, and whole pieces of roasted chicken, and all of these should be added as permanent menu items. So nice to see dark-meat chicken pieces instead of nasty, dry boneless cuts! The roasted pork and the desserts were also flawless. We also got to meet the farmers (from Barr Farms in Meade county) who had trucked in, that morning, a bunch of the food that we ate. To top it all off, it seemed like we ordered a metric tonne of food and drinks and ended up with a bill of only $85. Thanks again, and keep it up! We'll be back... someday!
