Oscar Brown's - La Rouge - ? - Ice Breakers!

by Doug W » Mon Nov 05, 2007 10:05 am

It looks like the Oscar Brown / La Rouge / I can't remember the last one location on Floyd and Market has changes again.

The building now says "Ice Breakers". There is a neon sign saying "Bar and Grill" , "Billiards and Entertainment". There's a scrolling sign advertising lunch specials as well as a 1,000 s.f. smoking section.

I haven't been there; but I've driven by a few times and kept meaning to post something.

I wish them well, hopefully this incarnation will stick.

Cheers,

Doug W

Does the metro smoking ordinance allow that?

No way....it has to pass inspection. Outdoor only.

Just got back from Chicago where it's still in the bars till January, then bye-bye. Sure don't miss the stench here.

Smoking

by Doug W » Mon Nov 05, 2007 2:27 pm

There were no details on how they're pulling off the smoking room - it was just one of the scrolling messages - "1,000 Square Foot Smoking Area".

Next was the Spaghetti and Meatballs lunch special.

It looks like they may have a market...

Cheers,

Doug.

In the news today it looks as if the courts agree that Church Hill Downs should be smoke free also....
