What a beautiful day we have for APRON, Inc.'s first offline fundraiser. Please join us from 4-7 PM at Theater Square Marketplace for Speakeasy Sunday, a Prohibition-era themed romp with over 25 participating restaurants offering appetizers, tastings and cocktails. The list of participants includes Seviche, Science Hill Inn, Volare, Theater Square Marketplace, Winston's, Against the Grain Brewery, Asiatique, Taco Punk, The Louisville Dessert Truck, Porcini, Majid's, Bourbon's Bistro, Equus/Jack's Lounge, and more.
We have a wild selection of items for the silent auction, there will be live music, and you might be able to ransom your favorite kidnapped chef for a special reward. Tickets are only $25 and may be purchased here.
Some folks will be in costume, but you don't need to be. Just get yourself downtown and have fun - we're sure going to.
And if you'd like a little incentive to put down the lawnmower handle, get a load of this: Minimum Wage For Restaurant Servers Remains Stagnant For 20 Years. I find it extremely fitting that this article was published yesterday.
Please help us grow our restaurant workers' emergency relief fund, APRON, Inc. We'd love to see you!
