None received at HotBytes as of now, and as far as I know, none at LEO. (They usually forward me that stuff.)

I think you've answered all the basics already, Leah. Who needs press releases? Still, if the mayor's office is sending out news releases to food media, HotBytes needs to be on the list.

BTW, Food Truck Tuesday will happen every fourth Tuesday of the month. The location is subject to change though.

Saw it this morning, I had it up on my Beechmont blog yesterday, once again beating the CJ, not hard to do these days

City to Sponsor Second Food Truck Event
Will Become Monthly Event into Fall

April’s food truck event was such a resounding success that Mayor Greg Fischer announced today it will happen monthly through October.

“The positive response to the food truck lunch in April was an overwhelming indication that people like to get out of their offices, have a variety of lunch choices, socialize and enjoy our downtown,” Fischer said. “We received valuable feedback from the first lunch and will keep looking for ways to improve it as we make it a monthly event.”

Nine trucks will line Jefferson and Sixth Streets, serving their fare between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22. Food truck events will be on the fourth Tuesday of each month through October.


Improvements from the first food truck event include adding recycling bins to the event area and – because so many people came to the first lunch -- food trucks know to come with much more food Fischer said. 


Louisville was the only U.S. city recently included by Zagat as one of the “8 Best Foodie Getaways in the WORLD.” Louisville also received accolades from Southern Living, being named the second top “Tastiest Town”.

Participating food trucks for the monthly lunch events will include:
