Louisville Mag's Rivue, BNA reviews belatedly online

by Robin Garr » Sat Nov 03, 2007 8:56 am

It's November, so Louisville Magazine's Website now has the September issue online. It contains two dining reviews - a fairly severe pan of Rivue by Stephen Hacker, and a mixed review (previously mentioned on the forum) of the late, lamented Bistro New Albany by Melanie Wachsman. They're straightforward, solid reviews, but for some reason, neither strikes me as showing a lot of flair.

I have subscribed to the Louisville Magazine for years. Most of the time the so-called reviews were puff pieces. Well written, and pretty pictures, but basically always positive. As a result, not very useful.

Since Hacker arrived, they have been much more realistic, and therefore more usable.
