Ha! I read the headline and thought you were looking for someone to go out to lunch with!

That's a pretty good price if the business has a decent following. Though for $25K more you could open your own Chick-fil-a. (ducking and running for cover!)

Becky, have you tried Matt & Mike's yet? The reports I've heard have been less than glowing. We were going to check it out on Friday, but they were backed up out the door. On the other hand, I've been on enough opening crews to know better than to visit a new restaurant in their first week of operation.

I've heard from a buddy of mine that resides on the Sunny Side that he would be surprised if Mike & Matt's lasted six months. The menu is too all over the place for claiming to be Amish (Elk and Alligator?) and priced kind of high for what the majority of the unsophisticated palates of the residents over there are willing to bear. I grew up in Clarksville and feel pretty confident in stating that the quantity of food vs. quality on the plate is the most important factor in most Hoosier's dining out plans, so it must be pretty bad if people over there don't have anything good to say about it. My friend didn't have anything positive to say about his experience there, and I whole heartedly respect his opinion.

Sorry to see Lunch Today go away. It was a great place to go and get "off the usual track" luncheon offerings. Once upon a time it was always crowded for lunch. (heavy sigh)

Agreed, this is sad news. I work in downtown Jeffersonville, and there aren't a lot of good lunch options in the area.

Stopped by there today and they were gone. There was a sign for something coming soon, but it was illegible from the car.

Paint me confused, but I saw this post directly under John H's post for help finding a lunch spot in downtown Jeffersonville. The titles are so similar that I had to re-read them both.

It's going to be the Orange Clover kitchen and more. Our much loved Sous Chef Rachel Smallwood is going out on her own in this new venture.
