Douglass Loop farmers market resumes Saturday

by Robin Garr » Wed Apr 11, 2012 6:29 pm

Farmers Market Returns to the Douglass Loop:
Opening day set for Saturday, April 14th

The Douglass Loop Farmers Market season begins Saturday, April 14, and will be held every Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. until December. The Kentucky Proud market features a wide variety of high quality produce and meat vendors, prepared foods, and much more. Music is featured weekly on the porch of historic Briney Hall, as vendors are nestled around the shaded grove in front of the Douglass Blvd. Christian Church (located at the corner of Douglass Blvd. and Bardstown Rd. in the Highlands). Including a playground, plenty of picnic tables, benches, and shade, the Douglass Loop Farmers Market is a great experience for the whole family and community.

The regular season Bardstown road farmers market is now open as well.

The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

Thanks, John! I thought it stayed open all winter, like Phoenix Hill.

Yes it does...that's why I made mention of the "regular" season, as the hours and vendor line up are different the the "winter" season.
