Brunch at Anchorage Cafe

by Deb Hall » Sun Apr 08, 2012 12:07 pm

All,
We went for Easter Brunch and were thrilled by the quality of the food and the low-key, relaxing environment. Unlike some of the brunches in-town, they were not overwhelmed with patrons with long wait times, and less than their best food- one reason why we very rarely go for brunch on holidays.

Brian and I both had an excellent Eggs Benedict with asparagus and country ham ; Aiden had a very tasty ( and large) portion of French Toast with bacon served with a small side of strawberries and blueberries. We had to refrain from ordering any of their fantastic housemade desserts and pastries ( Trying to save some potential room for Easter dinner at 4:00  ) We ate inside, but their garden patio is lovely for a leisurely meal later in the day. Hint: Mimosas and wine make an later brunch truly relaxing....

Overall- an excellent choice for this lovely Easter morning- and for future brunches. They serve brunch until 3:00 on weekends.
