Nashville help

by Julie Green » Mon Mar 05, 2012 8:44 pm

I am hoping someone can help me out. I will be in Nashville in April on business. We are looking for a decent local, non-chain where we can entertain about 70 customers. We would like a place with some local flavor for some drinks and appetizers. Any help would be appreciated.

Lots of great non-change options in Nashville.

Tin Angel is right by Vanderbilt's campus and I went to a nice rehearsal dinner there.

Monell's is wonderful, but I don't think they serve booze.

Sunset Grill is good.

Big River Grill.

I haven't lived there in awhile.

We have loved F. Scott's for many, many years. It has always been a special place for us-- fabulous and the site of a great number of celebrations for our family. We have not been there for several years but I think Gary F went fairly recently (hopefully he can chime in) and really enjoyed it. It is in the Green Hills area of Nashville.

If you are going to be in Nashville for breakfast, don't miss the Loveless Motel. It is an experience unto it's self but certainly worth it.

F. Scott's is incredible. I used to eat at Loveless when I was in college and it was great... I was not impressed by the new ownership, but maybe they have righted the ship (or maybe I was just hungover).

Monell's is my favorite brunch spot. They have a place in Germantown. Best fried chicken I've ever had.

If you search "Nashville" in the Travel forum, you'll find numerous threads about Nashville recommendations.
