Gluten Free Cake

by Beth K. » Mon Feb 27, 2012 4:30 pm

I need a gluten free cake for a party. I already know of one place that has an offering, but was hoping for more options. Does anyone have any recommendations? Preferably not a flourless torte.

Beth,

Sweet Surrender on Frankfurt will do gluten-free cakes. I've never had one, but knowing how good the rest of their cakes are, I'd bet they are exceptional.

Hi Beth,
There are some really good gluten free cake mixes out there now. That is if you feel like baking your own. Bob's Red Mill has great brownies mix that you can combine and make a nice cake with. Also Betty Crocker has one too. I have not had one of Sweet Surrender's. I am sure they are delicious.

Susi had done several gluten free cakes for Shady Lane Cafe, Great response from our customers. Feel free to give her a call at the Cafe from 11:30 to 3pm. After 2 is the best time to talk without interruption.

Hi Beth!

Sweet Surrender would be happy to make you a cake. If you want to avoid a flourless torte, we still have several options available.

Our Mocha Concord (which is available in other flavors) and our Samoa cake are two of our most popular desserts, that also happen to be gluten free. We also make a gluten free yellow cake, which can be made with different fillings for additional options. We just ask for at least 48 hours notice. You can call us 502.899.2008. Cakes are available in different sizes.

Get the Mocha Concord. There is nothing else like it. You will live on in legend if you bring this to your party.

I agree with Antonia. Ironically, the two Jessica lists are my very two favs at her place- the Samoa Cake is also to die for. ( I have dreams about this cake- seriously ).
