Welcome Back Sherman Minton Celebration

by Todd Antz » Sun Feb 26, 2012 4:55 pm

Thanks to Robin for letting me post this:

Join us as downtown New Albany celebrates the re-opening of the Sherman Minton Bridge in style. We'll have local breweries, wineries, music, discounted shopping and more going on all day in downtown New Albany on March 3rd from 2 - 5PM.

Signed up so far are Bluegrass Brewing Company (Clay & Main), Against the Grain, New Albanian Brewing Company, Sun King Brewing, Bluegrass Brewing Company (Shelbyville Road) Cavalier Distributing, St. James Winery, Huber Winery, and Cameron Hughes Wines. We'll update this list as more people come on board, and will also provide a detailed list of which businesses everyone will be located.

Cavalier and Cameron Hughes representatives will be at the Keg Liquors New Albany location pouring free samples, and the others breweries/wineries participating will be at different locations throughout downtown New Albany.

Keg Liquors will also be giving every customer 10% off any purchase they make on Saturday (New Albany location only) Other downtown retailers will be offering discounts as well, making this the perfect day to check out Downtown New Albany.

Todd: I can't attend the meeting on Monday night, so can you keep me updated as to what we're supposed to be doing in order to participate?

This is going to be a great event. Wander the streets of New Albany sampling a lot of free things (see beer/wine), enjoy discounts at many of the local shops, and stop by the Carnegie Center for the closing day of the "Form, Not Function: Quilt Art at the Carnegie" exhibit.

I'll be posted up inside The Keg serving up some pulled chicken sliders with Feast BBQ sauce. I picked up our smoker the other day and it's going to take some deep cleaning before I start cooking any food in it, so no smoked chicken, but I promise some deliciously moist pulled chicken and the BBQ sauce ain't half bad either.

I'll see you in Louisville's Best Borough. Believe The Hype.

I've finally made it through the Louis le Francais/Starlight Dist/NABC beer dinner last night (wow, what a meal), and so finally I'm posting Bank Street Brewhouse's list of events for tomorrow:
