Three of us visited Four Pegs last night while our wives had a "book club" event. We were excited by the visit and were not disappointed. 12 great brews on tap and a nice selection of apps and sandwiches to accompany the brews.
The only complaint and it was echoed by my friends was the logistics of the ordering process. All drinks and food had to be ordered through the bar and there was only one person that was handling that chore. He entered the food order through an I-Pad, which I guess was picked up in the kitchen. He then would take a credit card for the tab and then proceed to pour the different beers. You can imagine the backlog that occurred at the bar.
Sometimes the line reached 8-10 deep. We figured that they missed approximately 15-20 beer sales in that first hour just by people having to wait. After drinking our first beer, we had to wait an additional 20 minutes until we could get our second drink. It seemed they only had the bartender, the chef in the kitchen and a food runner that was working himself to death. I'm not knocking anything about the beer or food, in fact, all three of us vowed to return. It just seemed if they had 1 more person at the bar, the additional beer sales would easily pay for his help.
