Mardi Gras restaurant specials/events?

Any Mardi Gras specials/events planned? As a lifelong Texan it was always a big deal but maybe not as much so here.

Sara, I just started a thread on that! It's pinned to the top of the forum.

Among others that consistently do some kind of event, watch for Coach Lamp, Selena's, Joe's OK Bayou and, of course, all the J. Gumbo's shops.

I'm sure Mardi Gras is bigger in Texas, but Louisville has a pretty sturdy Fat Tuesday tradition, thanks probably to the combination of a lot of Catholics and a historical river-trade connection to New Orleans, which is why neighborhoods like Portland and Germantown with all their shotgun houses have similar streetscapes as blue-collar neighborhoods in New Orleans.

Selena's is our "Go to" place for that kinda thing. We should be coming up on Crawfish season here pretty soon and Selena's does 'em right.
