Sounds good (if it were warmer). Anyone ever been to this place?

Brian,

My sister lives in New Albany and they go all the time. They love the place- it's got an old-fashioned ice cream stand feel and lots of chioices. I personally like hard-scoop Graeter's better- but that's just my opinion.

A little old now, but HotBytes included Zesto's in this 2006 roundup of a dozen local ice cream eateries. Page down for a Zesto's photo and pic.

Zesto has hand dip also. Made from scratch. Chillers is the same place -- just without the formerly franchised name of Zesto, so they could start their own franchises.

I go to Atlanta often, and I often pass the several locations of Zestos. I like their retro look (turns out not so much retro as old), so I always notice them. I became curious when I heard there was one in Indiana, and found this on their website.

I love the way they portray themselves. It's a pretty charming story of the history of the chain. Love the fact that they basically say they have no interest in expanding, so don't even bother to ask.

Apparently this will be one of the franchised locations. According to the Chillers website, it will be at 4123 Shelbyville Road, at Thierman Lane (near where Sears used to be). It seems to be the same address as the small building that now houses Heine Brothers Coffee and Papa John's Pizza. Supposedly it will open in May.
