I am opening for the Season this Friday 17th unless there is so much snow that I can't get up my driveway! Look forward to seeing old friends and new.

AJ's in Georgetown is the source of the most delicious gyros in these parts!

Check out this old link. It has directions and a neat little article. They are the real deal.

I considered a gyros for lunch today but thought "Alison should be opening soon...I'll wait." Glad I did.

Alison, what are your hours this time of year?

Looking forward to making the detour-challenged drive from Crescent Hill!

Thats crazy. From the pic it looks like that place she is in used to be an Ice cream shop itself. If it is where i'm thinking it is. I spent like every summer day of my early teens relieving the munchie monster within at that place  . I could walk to it from my house.

Jamie, it still is an ice cream shop. As well as gyros, fish and chips and other food, I have shakes, hand scooped, flurries, sundaes and have just bought a flavor burst machine which will be installed on Thursday. Look forward to meeting you if you come on over.

Mike, I was thinking 11am - 7pm until the weather gets warmer. You're right about the detour challenged drive. Why the heck is 65 closed when you're coming from 71 Frankfort Avenue area.

Supposed to be right around 50 and sunny this weekend so I wouldn't worry much about snow. Hope you have a big first weekend of the year.

And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

I was just in Corydon looking in on our store out there and thought "It is a shame Allison isn't open, I could really take a gyro." Looks like I was three days too early!

That's ok, though. There is comfort in knowing that soon I will get my fix!
