Like Jackie said, I, too, posted on the other thread before seeing this one.

I think you said it best, Gary, "What a great evening of carb and fat loading!"

Of course, it is always great to see one's foodied friends again.

Any time you want to organize another one, Mark, let us know.

Thanks again, Mark! Great food, and it was nice to finally meet some of you. Next offline I plan to do a better job of making the rounds and introducing myself... I guess I was a little shy, so thanks to those of you who came over to say Hi!

I too add my thanks to MarkR for keeping the numbers straight and lest we forget it was JackieR who suggested it was time for another offsite and offered VK and Coals as likely locations. What's next Jax?

I so enjoyed meeting the many forum members that I had previously only known from their Hotbyte posts. I sat next to EdV and wife Cindy who have two fine lads of Scottish descent and Allison and Joe whose precocious lad proclaimed himself 1/4 English, 1/4 Spanish, 1/4 Greek, and 1/4 American. Allison - you dolly bird, you got some explaining to do! JackieR, John Hagan, Robin and Mary were also at my table. I must have been in the front row!

Those who didn't come were greatly missed. AlanH I really wanted to meet you. Justin and Jennifer, you guys need to get that basement finished and get back into the foodie scene. Antonia and Tim, BradK, KenB, RayG, oh hell there are too many to name you all. So all of you others who are so active on the site; you are powerful presences on the forum and a Hotbyte offsite seems lacking without you. KenB you may be surprised to hear that several people think that the next offsite needs to be hosted by you. Really Ken, a certified Sommelier with chef skills....ridiculous. Ok, if you need a bit of help I volunteer DanT and LeahS to round out the all star chief lineup. See that was easy! You got it from here Jax?

Madeline, I was blown away by this event and I'm so grateful that you decided to settle here and indulge us with something so new and delightful. I've always loved pizza of many kinds but you and your staff have elevated this familiar food to previously unimagined heights. Artisan is an oft used word these days but from the beautiful facilities you've built to the masterful creations from your kitchen, it is well and truly warranted. Your staff are off the charts professional and a pleasure to interact with which is a reflection of your leadership and values.

My first offsite was a blast. Thank you all! Cheers!

Worst cheese hangover EVER!

It was great! Thanks to Mark and Madeline and Josh and ... well, I see I'm late to the party, but thanks to everyone. It was a super event.

So, what's next!?

Thanks to Mark R and the staff at Coals. Always enjoy seeing other Hotbyters, as well as meeting new folks. Like others said it was nice to put a face with a name. Adam,Shane and Allison it was great to meet you guys. Not only was food great, there was just so much of it. I couldn't of possibly eaten anything else, I was completely full...not even a wafer thin mint.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

Help, before you cast aspersions on my chastity. I hasten to assure you that Jay is 1/2 English and 1/2 American. He just has a rather wild imagination!

John, Annie, Stephen D, Gayle, Deb and anyone I have forgotten it was nice to meet you and nice to see everyone I already knew.

I shudder to think how many calories I consumed last night!

What a fun event!

That room is awesome for special parties. The pizza, phenomenal. The hospitality, awesome.

And the company wasn't nothing to be sneezed at, either!
