HOT!

Be it wings, soup, pasta etc., who has the hottest (I mean Capsasin, not Kelvin) dish in Louisville?

I don't know if it is the hottest but one that will certainly clear your sinuses is Indi's potato wedges. Their chicken is spicy but not so much so. Very good.

Order anything at Simply Thai, and on their scale of 0-5 ask for it cooked to a "7".

I had some extremely fiery camarones a la diabla at El Tarasco in St. Matthews a while back. Definitely up there near the top in spicy local goodies.

Also, although Kashmir isn't particularly an Indian favorite of mine, I've found them more willing than some to make a dish "Indian hot" as ordered if you are insane enough to ask for that.

Also, check out the "Chinese-Indian" section on Sitar's menu and pick the hot dishes. The “Indian and Chinese-style panir chilly fry” there was hot enough to melt my eyeballs. (Chinese-Indian is not a hybrid, by the way, but the local equivalent of our "Chinese-American restaurant.")

And there are a couple of dishes at Vietnam Kitchen allegedly known for exceptional heat. I don't remember the specific numbers/names, but hope one of the VK crowd can jump in.

I have had a couple very spicy dishes from VK but can't remember what numbers. Roosters' spiciest wing sauce is also some of the spiciest stuff I've ever had.

Eggplant Chili at Dak Shin lit me up last week. And I like heat.

I've got sack of pure ground Naga Jolokia Chiles in my cupboard that I grew last year. A quarter teaspoon of that stuff in anything and it's the hottest dish in town 8)

This and get an order of wasabi dumplings as a warm up.

Any dish from August Moon ordered 3X, very hot!!

My new spicy favorite (well not really new because I have been ordering for a long time now), Cafe Lou Lou's Jambalaya Pasta ordered EXTRA spicy. It is my favorite local pasta dish hands down. If you like really spicy, they'll do it but you have to tell them to make it hurt!!

I can't even imagine...

I've been working off jabanero powder for quite some time. It ain't even close to Ghost Peppers.

The BBQ Sauce 'Hottest Ride in Town' is no joke, as well. It's local- you can get it definitely at Westport (I believe he lives in the neighborhood.) This is no tricky heat- it gets you mid-palate and then you get to hang on for the ride, haha-heat-monger-joke-I-get-it kinda thing...
