Chipotle Grill Revolutionizing Food

This is an interesting article about how Chipotle Grill is using cutting edge techniques for fast food. I'm curious to know what folks think about it.

I more or less avoid chains for the reasons many on here do, but when I'm traveling or under circumstances where that's my only choice, I'm always happy when there's a Chipotle nearby. I prefer them much more than the very similar Qdoba (I was actually living in Chicago when Chipotle launched - not sure which chain grabbed the others concept and ran with it, though the timing seems to indicate Qdoba was there first). Chipotle has always kind of walked the cutting edge line with appealing to the "foodie" scene, they used to make a big deal out of using organic or sustainably produced products wherever possible, and were even crowing about locally sourcing some of their meats for a time. The central sous vide processing/preparation seems to stand in opposition to that. I'll still take their sous vide carnitas from pastured pork over Argentine beef in a Mcburger. At one point, McDonald's owned a majority share of Chipotle, but I had heard they sold out of it when the company's performance didn't make the numbers the corporate office wanted to see. Tee article seems to indicate otherwise on that point, too.
