Attn Food Service. I ran into this and thought to pass it along.

Minnetonka-based Michael Foods is substantially widening its recall of hard-cooked eggs sold in pails for institutional use because of a potential for contamination with a serious strain of listeria, federal officials announced....The eggs in Wednesday's recall, announced by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, were the product of Michael Foods' Wakefield, Neb., plant. They were bought by food distributors and manufacturers in Minnesota and 33 other states. Note: KY was listed as one of the states.

The eggs carry six brand names: Columbia Valley Farms, GFS, Glenview Farms, Papetti's, Silverbrook and Wholesome Farms.
