We probably hadn't been to the Irish Rover since last winter. What a wonderful evening. Sitting in one of the booths in the bar; the beer selection - I like their house Red that BBC makes; the owner; the old building. And the food. Because we never can narrow our selection, can't eat all the food, we create our own little buffet and take the rest with us. We had 3 appetizers, waited to order entrees until we finished so we could pause. The menu is amazing with the vast offerings, the quality, and the prices.
We certainly won't let our next visit take so long. And a reminder to head out to LaGrange. Meander through the farm land between 42 and 22. Chance to avoid 71.
(We had crab cakes, cordon bleu fritters, salmon/portabello, then grilled chicken breasts and stew in a bread bowl. And did I mention the bread that is served?)
