Friday, November 2 from 5:00p to whenever- Pitt Academy-6010 Preston Hwy across from Town & Country Ford will host a Spaghetti Supper and silent and live auction, which has been a tradition for 3 years. The whole school gets involved in the making of the Spaghetti, the High School grades as well as teachers and even parents assist in the homemade Spaghetti! The kids have a wonderful time getting the school and the cafeteria all ready for families and folks to join them for dinner on this special night! Special entertainment by Mike,”The Accordion Guy” from 6:00p-7:00p--Supper is from 5:00p-7:30p and Live Auction begins @ 8:00p.
Pitt Academy serves students with learning difficulties in a non-graded elementary through secondary setting. Monsignor Felix Newton Pitt originally founded Pitt Academy in 1949. It was designed to provide help and attention in a special class to those children in the school system that was unable to profit from the instruction given in the regular classroom.
Today, Pitt Academy admits students diagnosed with, but not limited to, the following disabilities:
* Mild to moderate neurological impairments
* Attention deficit disorder
* Auditory processing disorder
* Central nervous system disorder
* Developmental delay
* Language processing disorder
* Speech & language deficit
Proceeds will benefit Pitt Academy, which is a non-profit organization!
Supper includes: Homemade Spaghetti, Bread, Salad, Drink and Dessert
Adults- $7 and Kids 12 & under $3
The public is invited to share and enjoy some delicious spaghetti, meet some great folks and maybe win a prize!
