They closed as of 12/31/11. Yep - made me sad as well. I was in a few days prior and they had signs up that new year's eve would be their last day. I didn't talk to the owner, but I did talk to a long time employee. He said they had a good product but they just couldn't compete with $2 subway sandwiches. Who knows really, but man it always seemed busy when I went in!

Doesn't help me that they closed at like 6 every day. There were many times I wanted a good sub (Blimpie is FAR superior to Schlubway) and could not get one because they closed so early.

They will be missed. What is the best local option for an after 5pm deli sandwich in that area?

Dang... I always liked this place. The owner was always there and was always helpful, the place was clean, he had employees there for a long time (tells me the owner was doing something right), the subs were always good (leagues above Subway)... this is very unfortunate. I wish the owner the best.

They did have very good subs......I wonder why they never took off here in Louisville??

I always ate at the one in Hikes Point, and they too vanished with little notice...

If you go to their "locate" page, they show a couple still in Lexington and one in "Clarkson, KY" - somewhere southwest of E-town...but none in The VIlle :(

I noticed thet closed as well. I ate lunch there every once in a while. I like Jersey Mikes a bit better but their locations are not nearly as convenient.
