Harrodsburg/Danville lunch suggestions

by Rich S » Fri Jan 20, 2012 3:49 pm

I'm planning to meet a friend for lunch next week in either Harrodsburg or Danville. He'd thought of going to the Kentucky Fudge Co., but it's apparently closed for renovations. Does anyone have suggestions for other good places to eat?

Harrodsburg: I haven't been in years, but the Beaumont Inn was always good.

Danville: The Hub, Bluegrass Pizza and Pub, or Mermaids Bistro, all in the downtown area.

2nd Bluegrass Pizza and Pub. The El Pollo Loco pizza is very good. Only brick oven pizza in Danville.

I lived in Danville for fourteen years. So I sent out emails to my three best Danville friends (one actually lives halfway between Danville and Harrodburg). Here are their replies:

1. Mermaids in Danville
2. In Danville, Hub Coffee shop, 303 Main, Mermaids or for a wonderful burger, Mallards across Bypass from Boyle schools
3. Beaumont,Old Owl Tavern and Shakertown

Thanks very much for the suggestions. It sounds like I've got a bunch of good options available.
