awesome! even though they refered to our beer scene as "sleepy" ? sad that rich-o's is not on this list. if not for them our beer culture would be years behind it's current state. have to throw a shout out to the grale for blowing my mind with thier incdredible brand of pub food. we had the veal sausage with sauerkraut and the beet sliders and were amazed. fancy food+fancy beer=me fat and happy.

Not sure which I find more annoying - Louisville's beer scene being referred to as sleepy or the suggestion that The Holy Grail "shook up" said sleepy scene.

Permit me to offer one hundred percent, unequivocal, no-hidden-agendas congratulations to Holy Grale and Sergio's, two places that I personally support and adore.

And, permit me also to note that while I put absolutely no stock -- zilch, zero, nada -- in reader polls of any sort, it remains that Louisville's best beer list for 2011 as voted by LEO readers was neither of the above. In fact, it wasn't even in Louisville ...

But seriously: Count your blessings, good beer lovers. The Louisville metro area punches above its weight when it comes to great places like these. Cheers to Lori, Tyler, Serge and everyone else who supports craft beer 'round here.

I was unaware of this until a coworker shared this with me today and I don't think anyone has posted about it. Evidently The Holy GrAle (Chef Josh Lehman) makes the country's best sliders...

Congrats to both places. Both are great places to enjoy a good beer. Holy Grale has some great finger foods too.

I don't disagree with that, the short rib slider with kimchi on prezel bun was probably the best slider I've ever eaten!
