What is your favorite non local Pizza (Poll)

Steve's post got me curious. These are 5 of the biggest players nationally that have significant presence in the Louisville market.

To put Papa John's on a list of non-local pizza is delusional. Jeffersonville, Indiana is pretty local and many places in Jeff, Clarksville, New Albany, etc. seem to be discussed in the Forum as local. We used to get their pizza at work sometimes back in the '80s, good stuff.
What am I missing?

Lonnie, I think the post title is a bit off. Maybe it should be titled. "...your favorite big box chain / non-mom & pop pizza"

For my, papa johns is not a "local" in my definition of a local. I do agree they began that way, but immense growth has precluded them from places like NABC, Clifton Pizza, Coal's, Bearnos, DiOrios, Papalinos, etc.

BTW, massive growth is not always a bad thing...I just haven't seen it worked for the betterment of pizza quality, like it does for quickness, efficientness, and occasioanlly blandness.

I try and not eat "big-box" non-chain pizza...but Papa John's is OK and a recent pie from Dominos was pretty tasty.

Where's Pizza King on that list !?!

Lonnie, I purposefully avoided using the word chain but that's obviously what all of these are. . .

Dan, whatever Pizza King is, they're not in Louisville KY.

Correction, I guess they're in S. Indiana, but they aren't a major national player.

I really like Papa Murphy's, pretty good stuff.

Acme on Monroe Ave in Rochester, NY. Great wings and beer selection/prices to boot.

I know that's not what you were asking about but we've got too many good pizza places to even consider eating that other stuff.

Papa Murphys is by far my favorite chain pizza. Even though I do have to bake it myself.

Strong word, Lonnie. Brian failed to communicate because he sought to avoid using the "C" word, but the point is clear: Large corporate pizza makers with national distribution.

Isn't Pizza Hut a marque of Yum! Brands? Guess that makes it local, too.

Yeah, it's a flawed poll in that it fails to allow an option for those who cannot honestly vote for any of the listed choices. I thought about ticking one, but "Hate the least" does not translate to "like" for me. I won't buy those brands; I can't vote for those brands.
